My Cause is simple, to help as many Homeless people as I can
by way of the Internet.
I am Keet Hensley, my 15 seconds of fame was in 1967 when
Richie and I started the very first Flea Market.
Now for the current time, I am making my Living on the
Internet and in the Flea Markets as I travel in my Motor Home.
I had planned this for over 12 years as a Semi-retirement tour
of the USA.
Being prepared for these 12 years is a step or two up from
those less fortunate than I, so I decided to use my web sites to bring their
plight to the American publics awareness and to help where ever I am able.
I am trying to come up with new tips and tricks to make life a
bit easier and less costly in order to help them survive.
I have already made 2 donations to the cause and really would
like to be able to build up a fund that will help build a small village for them
to move to instead of spreading into the neighborhoods around the country.
I envisioned this village 12 years ago and did not understand
why. Now I do, I am sure GOD has had a hand in the idea as he did when we
started the Flea Markets.
The village that I saw was lined up with trailers much like
those that FEMA had moved the victims of the Hurricanes into.
The Trailer village had a large meeting and all purpose hall
where the village was managed from.
We had an employment section where the people would gather in
the mornings to have the busses pick them up for day labor or they could drive
their own vehicles. This village would be centrally located between the larger
cities as to have more access to possible jobs.
In this village I saw sections like in a campground, sections
for those that brought their own campers and trailers, sections for those that
were not even that fortunate and then the section of FEMA type trailers for
Families that had none.
The rules of the village are simple,
1. Try your best to support your own family by working or at
least be actively really seeking work.
2. Obey all laws of the state, most of all no drugs and no
criminal activities.
3. If you are not working, be available to assist in all
maintenance of the village.
4. Keep your children and pets under control, we cannot be a
nuisance to our neighbors.
5. Keep your temporary shelter home clean and in good repair.
6. Do not refuse any job, consider it a step up if you can get a
job, always remember there are others less fortunate that would love to take the
job and your shelter.
It is my opinion that when the American production Machine
returns to being productive, these villages will be where they will be able to
find skilled workers first. I would expect to hold Job Seminars in the Meeting
Hall on a regular basis.
The village should be able to elect it's own leaders, and maybe
even hire employees from within the village residents.
Cost of living expenses should be something that can be worked
out and possible even get Government assistance, maybe under FEMA. This is after
all a National Economic Disaster and these great unemployed workers are the
victims of what appears to be poor politics and greed.
I would love to see some American property owners Loan their
unproductive land to this cause knowing that they will still own that land when
the crisis is over. These Property owners will have their names written into the
History books for their community service and generosity toward their fellow
Americans during the worst economic disaster in history.
I would Love to see Bill Gates of Microsoft Fame, help these
fellow Americans through this difficult time because these are the same people
that made him all that money in the first place. It is claimed that he has
amassed more money than anyone but GOD himself, what could he possible do with
all that money but to go down in History as one of the most generous
Humanitarians in the History of The United States or be the greediest miser
since Scrooge.
I once asked GOD, how could just 1 simple person possibly make
even a dent in the future of this world? I heard an answer and I was floored,
there were 2 names given at that time, Jesus has changed the whole world forever
by Recycling Souls.
The other was that I was reminded of that 15 year old boy, that
as an answer to a prayer, was given the idea of The Flea Market, where we
recycle anything and give the poor person a chance to have their own business.
The company that Bill Gates owned, made a change in Computers,
Now is the chance for Him to make a change on his own as one of us simple human
beings that was able to change the world himself.
Yes that is a challenge.
